From the Tarbiyyah of Allāh to you

From the Tarbiyaah (discipline) of Allāh ﷻ to you.

He might test you with harm by people around you, so that your heart doesn’t get attached to anyone. Not a mother, a father, a brother or a friend. Thus, your heart becomes attached to Allāh ﷻ Alone.

First deception of Iblees.

Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Know that the first deception of iblees upon the people was to restrain and prevent them from knowledge, because knowledge is Noor [light], so if iblees extinguishes their lanterns then he causes them to wander around in the dark however he wants.”

[Talbees iblees 1/389]

What is the most sincere and correct deed ?

Fudayl bin Iyad was asked,

“What is the most sincere and correct (deed)?”

He said, “If it is done sincerely, but not correctly, it is not accepted.

If it is correct but not done with sincerity, it is not accepted.

Only once the action is sincere and correct will it be accepted.

It is sincere when it is for Allah alone, and it is correct when it conforms to the Sunnah.”

I made the most beloved thing to me my righteous deeds

Hatim al-Assam رحمه الله said: “

I looked at the creation and realised that every person has something which is beloved to him, but when that person reaches his grave, his beloved would be separated from him.

Therefore, I made the most beloved thing to me my righteous deeds, so they may be with me in my grave.”

-Mukhtasar Minhaj al-Qasideen of Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله

Poetry Regarding Death And The Grave

Poetry Regarding Death And The Grave:

One of the poets said:
الموت كأس و كل الناس شاربه … و
القبر باب وكل الناس داخله
“Death is a cup and every person will drink from it. The grave is a door and every person will enter it”

Another one said:
قل للذي صنع الدواء بكفه أترد مقدورا عليك قد جرى
“Say to the one who makes medicine with his hands – are you able to repel upon you something predestined which has passed”

مات المداوى والمداوي والذي
صنع الدواء بكفه ومن اشترى
“The one who gives medicine and takes it will die and the one who makes the medicine with his hands and the one who buys it”
